Installation Guidance

Upon receipt, place door signage in the plastic holders provided at each store. For other signage, use the appropriate sign holders available at your location. Life Is Good signage should be secured using the shelf clips.

Ensure all signs are properly positioned and displayed in their designated locations.

Vendor & Shipping

Large-format signage (anything that cannot be printed on a standard printer) and A-frame signs require approval before being sent to an approved print vendor.

Production and shipping times vary depending on the type of signage, materials, and vendor availability. Please include your needed-by date when submitting a request. Delivery dates are not guaranteed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Store Kit Hub — Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if a sign or kit is current?

Look for “Available now” under “Store Operations” to find current signage. Expired signs and kits are automatically removed from the catalog.

Who approves new kits before they’re posted?

The Marketing Department reviews, approves, and publishes all signage and kits. Marketing also maintains current content and coordinates updates as needed.

How long do reprints take?

Small-format sign reprints generally take 3–5 business days when printed in-house.

Large-format signs (anything that cannot be printed on a standard printer) require Marketing approval and are produced through an approved print vendor. Production and delivery times vary depending on vendor and material availability.

Please include your needed-by date when submitting a request. Vendor delivery dates are not guaranteed.

Do I need to update the TV content in my store?

No. The Marketing Department publishes TV content when new kits go live and manages all updates and implementations. No action is required from store managers.

What if I need a sign customized for my store?

Select New Request and describe what you need. Include your store location, the exact wording, and a link to the existing sign if applicable.

Marketing will review your request and coordinate any necessary changes.

Why do some kits have different colors or designs?

Each brand has its own colors and design standards. Kitty Hawk Kites, Kitty Hawk Surf Co., and Life Is Good use different branding.

Be sure to select signage appropriate for your store.

Do I need to print signs myself?

All signage must go through the Marketing Department for review and approval before printing.

Outer Banks/KDH-area stores: Marketing prints signage and delivers it to the store’s distribution box.

Out-of-region stores (such as Destin): Marketing prepares the approved design and either sends it directly to a local printer or provides the print-ready file to the store manager with instructions.

Please do not print or modify signage without Marketing approval.
